Inviting users just got easier with our new 'Upload CSV' feature. Admins can now upload a CSV file to create new user accounts in bulk.
First, select 'Users' or 'Add Users' from the Management section of your Admin homepage.
Once on the Users page, click 'Upload CSV.'
Then, download the provided template by clicking 'Download Template.'
Once you open up the downloaded CSV file, you can begin filling out the template by following the example provided. You will insert each user's Email Address, Role, and Group. Please limit your information to the first three columns, as all other columns will be ignored. You do not need to worry about deleting the sample row.
If you'd like to invite your users to more than one group, separate each group with a comma. Please note that in order for this to work successfully, the groups must already exist in your system.
Once you've inserted all of the users, save the spreadsheet to your desktop. Then, click 'Upload CSV' and select the CSV file you just created.
Talent will only accept the CSV file if it is without any errors. If there was an error in your upload, Talent will notify you.
Potential errors include:
- Email must be a valid email
- There cannot be more than one of the same email on the CSV
- Group name must exist in the system
- Role or Role Alias must exist in the system
- User must not already exist in the system
- System must have enough licenses left to buy the number of users on the CSV
Once the spreadsheet is inserted correctly, the new user invites will be sent!
