The different template types for Data Forms primarily exist to better help organize and filter the various templates you create and use on TORSH Talent and Talent HS.
With the exception of the Rubric template type, none of the template types will change your authoring or participant experience within the form.
Below is a list of the current template types offered with our Data Forms tool:
Log a Coaching Session - Choose this template type if you are creating a Coaching Log template. Coaching logs are effective forms for logging coaching sessions, cycles, and overall productivity of a coach's goals with their mentees.
Complete a Survey - Choose this template type if you are creating a general survey for use by your participants. This form can be great for general data collection. You can later view your results using our Report Builder tool and its 'Data Forms Completed' standard report.
Take Notes - Choose this template type if you are creating a general form for note taking purposes. It can be for use in observations or a coaching session or even as a general resource for use outside of scheduled logs.
Collection Form - Choose this template type if you are creating a general form for capturing information that does not act as a survey or a coaching log.
Rubric - Choosing this template will allow you access to the 'Rubric Grid' component, a powerful tool that allows you to create observation Rubric Templates using the Data Forms authoring tool. The Rubric Grid component is the only data form component that can be scored. Choosing the 'Rubric' template type also provides additional settings around scoring and evaluations.
